Experience:

• Minimum One years previous DZ driving experience required.
• Clean driver abstract required.
• Clear criminal background check required.
• Eligibility for bonding and transportation of Dangerous Goods.
• Geographical knowledge of the general Toronto area preferred.
• Previous Courier or LTL delivery experience a definite asset.
• Follow company rules and regulations with respect to safety and hours of service
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• LTL deliveries throughout GTA using a lift gate and pallet jack
• Some hand bombing involved
• Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to various destinations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure timely delivery schedules while adhering to traffic and transportation laws.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS systems.
• PPE required to be worn at all times on the worksite, on the customer site and in any yard

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license (DZ license)
• Defensive Driving Course
• Dangerous Goods Certification
